Description
Inflatikos is a strategic economic board game where players compete to build wealth, influence markets, and control political power inside a closed island economy. Players produce goods, bid for scarce resources, manipulate prices, and vote on government policies that directly reshape the economy each turn.
Players manage labor, food, and commodities while earning Drachma through production and market sales. All buying and selling is resolved through competitive bidding, where price, timing, and turn order determine who succeeds.
A shared government system allows players to raise or lower taxes, print or destroy money, and enact economic policies through votes—often weaponized for personal advantage. Every decision feeds back into inflation, scarcity, and long-term leverage.
A full game demonstrates core economic concepts—supply and demand, inflation, market signaling, political incentives, and unintended consequences—through direct player interaction, making Inflatikos well suited for classrooms, homeschool study, or anyone interested in how real economies behave under pressure.
